Bolt detection
Bolt inspection is divided into manual and machine methods. Manual inspection is the most primitive and

In order to minimize the outflow of defective products, personnel in general manufacturing enterprises inspect the products to be packaged or shipped by visual inspection to eliminate defects (defects include thread damage, mixed materials, rust, etc.).
Another method is fully automatic machine inspection, mainly magnetic particle testing. Magnetic particle testing utilizes the interaction between the leakage magnetic field at the defect of the bolt and the magnetic powder. Due to the difference in magnetic permeability between the bolt's potential defects (such as cracks, slag inclusions, mixed materials, etc.) and that of steel, the magnetic field at the discontinuous parts of these materials will be distorted after magnetization, resulting in partial magnetic flux leakage at the surface of the workpiece, creating a leakage magnetic field. This attracts magnetic powder to accumulate at the defect site—forming magnetic indications. Under appropriate lighting conditions, the position and shape of the defects are revealed by observing and interpreting these accumulations of magnetic powder, thereby achieving the purpose of removing defective products.
